Are you one of those that decided to cut back on meat and go vegan in January? Fear not, Glasgow is a true Metropol for delicious plant-based food for all taste buds. Besides, with more people than ever signing up for Veganuary this year many restaurants have upped their game and produced some heavenly mouthwatering dishes. See below list of top-rated choices likely to turn you vegan forever:
The Glasvegan - 50 St Enoch Place

Vegan fast food in a small and (very) busy restaurant offering both sit-in and takeaway. The huge menu (with fun play on words) spoils you with choice and I can guarantee that you will find something sending you straight to food heaven. The prices are reasonable and you can easily get a well portioned meal for less than £15 for two. Great location too situated right in the City Centre.
The 78 Bar and Kitchen - 10-14 Kelvinhaugh Street

A dog-friendly top choice in bars around Glasgow providing interesting (and entirely vegan) food with a great range of drinks. Lovely atmosphere, log fire and accommodating and friendly service. I have enjoyed both pasta and burgers which are always delicious and well worth the money.
Silla Korean Restaurant - 1138 Argyle Street

This small (and often very busy) restaurant serves some great authentic Korean food. Although not entirely vegan, the menu comes with a variety of fresh and tasty vegan options such as hot pot, kimchi pancake, and vegetable and bean soup. A tad bit overpriced, but well worth a visit! If you enjoy Asian cuisine and want to try something different; I would highly recommend Silla.
Suissi Vegan Asian Restaurant - 494 Dumbarton Road

Where do I start? If you enjoy the Asian cuisine this restaurant is a MUST. Expect to be blown away by their incredible dishes, lovely atmosphere, attentive service, and beautiful setting. A personal vegan favourite restaurant for any occasion. Simply can't recommend enough!
Mono Cafe Bar - 12 Kings Court

Nice and quirky vegan café/bar and live music venue situated in Glasgow's Merchant City. Besides serving home-cooked traditional food such as pizza, fish (marinated tofu) and chips, and mac n cheese they also offer a variety of entertainment options including art exhibitions, book readings, beer festivals, foosball, etc. In other words; a great place for hanging out with friends over a beer! Oh, and make sure to also visit their in-house independent record store.

Ambient Japanese restaurant and live music venue offering small plates perfect for sharing, a daily changing menu and a good selection of beers and cocktails. The food is always delicious with many innovative, healthy, and hearty options to chose from. I highly recommend this restaurant when meeting up with friends and family; start socialising over dinner and, if you're lucky, catch some music downstairs after the food.
Down to Earth - 351 Dumbarton Road

A true gem in Partick that's only using organic ingredients. Great place for casual breakfast, lunch and dinner which accommodates vegan, and meat-eaters alike. The food is creative and beautifully prepped (or 'Instagrammable' if you wish) and there's also heaps of options to chose from. Service is great too; the staff is both very friendly and efficient and has their way of making you feel valued. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!
Hanoi Bike Shop - 8 Ruthven Lane

A tiny Vietnamese restaurant taking you directly to the bustling streets of Hanoi and its fresh and spicy street food from the moment you step through the doors. The decor, utensils, food, and music all add to the authentic feel and provides an immersive culinary experience. The service might be a bit slow at times, but the food totally makes up for it.

Great Blog! I've missed out on Veganuary but I still would go to these restaurants any other day. Silla Korean Restaurant looks great, I'm really into Korean dishes and I wouldn't mind trying it out. Down to Earth also looks like a restaurant I would go to. I love fancy breakfast Bowls.
